O Botanista
O Botanista was established in 2018 by Catarina Gonçalves and chef André Baptista. Its green interior is filled with plants and the menu focuses on unprocessed vegan food, with most items made in-house. There are breakfast, lunch and snack options. For cakelovers there is plenty of choice as well, and you don’t have to feel that guilty: all cakes and sweets are made without any refined sugar. If you’d rather have an alcoholic beverage, you are also at the right place as they serve various cocktails and ecological wines. “Being vegan isn’t reducing ingredients, it´s a discovery and a huge abundance of other ingredients”, says Catarina, “Most of the dishes we present are made with simple ingredients that we have transformed. We make our own bread, vegetable milks and even butters.”
