Reserva Alecrim Eco Suites Resort - glamping in the Portuguese countryside

Reserva Alcerim is a glamping site in the Alentejo region in Portugal. It counts with 41 eco-suites, safari tents, country houses and domes surrounded by a beautiful landscape of pines, cork oaks and an abundance of rosemary bushes. All are well equipped with a queen size bed, ensuite bathroom, small kitchen with stove, small oven, fridge and freezer, comfortable furniture, air conditioning, fireplace, flat-screen tv, and outdoor furniture. The different types of accommodation (Domes, Dome Houses, Eco-Suites, Eco Houses, Country Houses and Safari Tents) can house parties from 2 up to 8 people. The domes have a big “window” so you can fully appreciate the view but still have enough privacy in your room. There are two swimming pools on top of a hill; one biological (with frogs!) and one infinity, with a beautiful view overlooking the resort and the surroundings. Here can you relax during the day and enjoy a beautiful sunset in the evening accompanied with a drink and a pizza from the bar. When night falls, don’t forget to look up and appreciate the starry night.

If you think the outdoor pool is a bit too chilly, you can head to the indoor, heated pool, located in a giant dome with almost 300 m2. From here you Here you also have a breathtaking view over a valley with the sea in the background.

At Reserva Alecrim they believe in respect for nature, and the power of the synergy between people and the local environment. At the resort you can reconnect to nature and to yourself and become newly energized. Luxury here is simplicity and an unpretentious way of living, although when staying here you will not lack anything. If you want a little extra pampering, there is a massage and babysitting service and for those who want to relax in a different way, you can book a yoga or pilates class.

The resort is situated just below Sierra de Grândola, 130 km from Lisbon, between Comporta and Costa Vicentina. Many beautiful beaches are just around the corner, but you can also enjoy the hills and the local culture. For everyone there is something to do, such as surfing, hiking, horse back riding, visiting old Roman ruins, offroad tours, or just do nothing, sit back and relax and watch the world go by!
