Kynd Community

Kynd, founded by Australians Lauren (nickname Lol) and Corryn in 2017, is a plant-based cafe located in Seminyak, Bali, Indonesia, where breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner for eat in and take away are served. They also serve home made ice cream, cocktails, shakes, cakes, burgers, salads, waffles and pancakes.

All food on the menu is cruelty-free and vegan made with locally grown produce that are fresh and simple. Kynd is famous for their smoothie bowls which they decorate with little mango letters to spell out words (usually “Bali Baby”, “Love” or “Kynd”; you can also ask for a personally made word), but also don’t miss their waffles, pancakes and raw treats. Even if you are just looking for a quick coffee, there is a barista brewing delicious coffees all day. Their toasts are named after heroes such as the ‘Nelson’ (beet hummus, breaky bruschetta, roquette, dukkah and a balsamic reduction) and the ‘Ghandi’ (aioli, basil pesto, sundried tomatoes, smashed pumpkin, spring onions, roquette and sweet chilli).

Lauren and Coryn´s mission is to spread kindness (or kindness) and to show that you can have a delicious meal without a single ingredient of animal product. Lauren´s main role is to cook the food and make the menus and Coryn handles everything marketing and business.

And over the years Kynd has become a true hotspot in Bali, among vegans and non-vegans alike. The Instagramable decor and look of the dishes has certainly helped fuel this popularity, but it is the overall quality of the meals that keep people coming back again and again.
