Seaquest Divecenters
The second largest archipelago in the world, with over 7000 islands, the Philippines is one of the great treasures of Southeast Asia. The archipelago is a string of coral-fringed islands strewn across a vast expanse of the western Pacific. Below sea level, the Philippines boast one of the world’s best diving and snorkeling. Seaquest operates in the ‘Visayas Region’ the central part of the archipelago; this is the part of the country that fits the clichés of tropical paradise. The beaches are white and palm fringed, the sea is a mosaic of turquoise waters and the locals are friendly and are ever so keen to meet and greet you.
Seaquest is one of the longest established scuba diving operators in the Visayas, the central part of the Philippines. In 1981 the 1st Seaquest Dive Center opened up at Pangsama Beach in Moalboal on the island of Cebu. Their 2nd dive center, opened in 1990 and is located at Alona Beach, Panglao Island in the province of Bohol. Seaquest Bohol was one of the first dive centers at Alona Beach and it is now a well-known dive area. There are even dive sites named after the older veteran Seaquest dive masters.
Seaquest has built up years of experience and is one of the dive centers that put the Philippines on the map. Today they are still working hard to get more people to visit and facilitate where they can to make the Philippines a first-class destination. They are continually fine tuning their services to accommodate and provide more possibilities for you. They have built up years of experience and have different services to meet your needs. They offer a full-service diving holiday and more. Island hopping, dive safari's, fun dives, all PADI scuba diving courses in multiple languages, accommodations to suit your holiday needs, land tours, transfers, domestic flights and of course everything with a professional and personal touch.
Seaquest counts with two locations in the Philippines, one in Moalboal and one at Alona Beach. The 5 star PADI dive center in Moalboal is located in the town which lies about two hours south west drive from Cebu City. Right beside the dive center is the Sumisid Lodge. This lodge is built to serve as a comfortable and very homely diver’s accommodation. The whole set up comes together very well and it has done so already for almost 30 years. The house reef is literally right in front of the lodge/dive center
and you’re just a few steps away from the gearing up and getting wet.
The dive center at Panglao Island in Bohol opened in 1990. It was built in local style it blended in well with the untouched beach environment of the time. These days Alona beach has become a popular beach destination and the whole area is rapidly expanding. The modern world has arrived and the dive shop has evolved with it. These days Seaquest Panglao is a modern and efficient PADI 5 star venue. The majority of Seaquest-divers accommodate themselves at Oasis Beach and Dive Resort; located right behind the dive shop. The resort and the dive center have been combining their services for many years offering you as our guest a well-organized experience. Oasis resort operates the popular lounge bar and beach restaurant right next to the dive center.

More info on sustainable practices carried out by Seaquest:
What do you do to reduce waste in your facility? We sell and encourage our guests to buy our Seaquest Tumbler. If they buy the tumbler then they can always refill their water tumbler for free during at the dive center.
What other sustainable measures are applied at your facility (e.g. energy and water saving, use of less disposables, use of organic cleaning materials etc.)? We only offer take-out food or pack lunches in recycled carton boxes or paper bags (instead of styrofoam or plastic).
Do you encourage and facilitate recycling? Yes, we have recycle bins and we organize cleanups.
Do you offer other sustainable services to your guests/clients? The guests can refill their bottles with water for free.
What else do you do to minimize your environmental impact? In Bohol there is a famous place (Oslob) were tourists can snorkel with whale sharks. But the whale sharks are being fed here and that is not natural. So at our dive-shop we don’t offer any tours to this area. Whale sharks should live in a natural habitat and not be kept in one area because they are fed.
